Far Eastern New Century Corporation (FENC, formerly Far Eastern Textile Limited) was founded on 13 Jan 1954 and listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (stock ticker: 1402) in April 1967. In October 2009, the Company was renamed Far Eastern New Century Corporation (the stock ticker remains the same 1402) in order to reflect its current operational and management structure after the Company was reorganized into the three major business segments: Production Business, Property Development, and Investments.

Production Business is composed of its petrochemical, polyester, and textiles businesses. Its products cover life necessities across the food & beverage, clothing, hospitality, and transportation industries. The upstream petrochemicals is positioned to secure the feedstock, the midstream polyesters is one of the leaders in the industry worldwide, and the downstream textiles is a partner of international brands. In order to remain competitive in today’s ever changing marketplace, the Company has a high level of vertical integration to maximize its synergies.
Property Development has conducted many development initiatives, especially the main development of the Taipei Far Eastern Telecom Park (Tpark) in Banqiao, which is the first telecom park in Taiwan designed and operated by the private sector with the concept of combining technology, ecology, and human thinking.
Investments consistently provide stable investment income. The Company’s major investments include Far EasTone Telecommunications Co., Ltd., Asia Cement Corporation, Oriental Union Chemical Corporation, and Far Eastern Department Stores Ltd., and many others.
